What can the 4100 handle in terms of rotary cutters and tillers? I was told about 4' on both. Does anyone have any experience with the King Kutter brand and size? I will do cutting mostly high grass and weeds at times. Thanks.

I don't know about rotary cutters but the 60" mid-mount mower deck and 58" tiller are not a problem. The FEL is the only attachment that has caused this tractor to take notice and the only time that happened was when I was digging out grapevine roots. My dealer said "if you can lift it, you can run it" but I don't take a lot of stock in that statement.

I have a 52" Woods brand rototiller which I run with no problem at all with my 4100. I don't know what is recommended in the way of a rotary cutter. Consider this: buy the largest recommended cutter and if you ever get into some tough bush hogging, then you can always take a narrower pass until you get through the tough brush. ....

I had a Ford 1220 with 17HP, I tried a 50" brush cutter and brought it back after 10 minutes and got a 60". Brush cutters take less power then a finishing lawnmower. The only thing is, you have to be able to manuver in sometimes rough ground, so I had to add 100# on the front end, to counter the extra weight of the bigger deck, but it was worth it,the extra width does a better job of cutting,it doesn't seem to leave any brush in the wheel tracks, and you can always take a narrower bite as previously stated. I think it depends on what is being cut. The cutter may be heavy duty and rated for 3" or 4" material. If max rating stuff is what's being cut, then a smaller cutter may work better. The specs for rotary cutters on various manufacturer sites seem to have fairly healthy HP requirements for standard and heavy duty cutters.

About King Kutter implements I purchased a new 48 inch roto-tiller about 3 weeks ago. After unloading and filling the gear cases I was greasing it and noticed oil coming out of the tine shaft. I called the dealer right away and told him of the problem. Tiller was returned to dealer and I was told he would fix it or give me a new one if it came in first. I picked up my tiller again today and was told the tine shaft had a rough spot and tore the oil seal. Dealer replaced everything he thought would cause the problem. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but it is a heavy tiller and seems well made for the price I paid $984.00 ....
